What if I live in an HOA?
Each HOA has different rules for allowing sheds and storage buildings. We can customize sheds and storage buildings to meet your HOA's requirements, but you will need to talk to your HOA to find out what is allowed in your subdivision. Some HOA's are easy to work with, and others are more difficult. Some want you to match the house, and others don’t care. Some of their specific requirements include the following:
-
Are there certain color requirements?
-
Are there stipulations for length, width or height?
-
Are there specific regulations for building or door style?
-
Are there regulations for placement? Does it have to be behind the house? Can it be in front?
-
Does it need to be behind a privacy fence?
What if I have a gate, trees, or other obstructions?
We need at least one foot of clearance on each side of the building to maneuver the structure into place. For example, if your gate is 12 feet wide, the maximum size building is 10 feet wide. Some exceptions may apply. Contact us with questions.
